White on White House

As you alI know I adore white rooms and when I saw this gorgeous white apartment, featured on the interior design show T.I.L.A on MTV3, it was love at first sight. This beautiful white apartment was lovingly renovated by the homeowners, with very little outside help.

They eventually sought help of Interior-architect and lighting expert, Teemu Saukkosen to complete their vision. They wanted to keep everything light and the surfaces shiny and clear to give the illusion of more space and bring in more light, especially in the winter months.

The glass dining table is paired with "La Marie" Ghost chairs by Philippe Starck.

These chairs are wonderfully versatile. They are perfect inside the home or in the garden and they stack for easy storage. I love them! What do you guys think of the Ghost Chair, would you use them instead of traditional upholstered chairs or would you keep them in the garden?

La Marie Chair by Philippe Starck from Kartell can be purchased from Zaza in Helsinki

Sorry about responding here, but I didn't know how else to get in touch with you. We really appreciate your gracious comments on our silk arrangements on VerdigrisVie blog. We love making the arrangements and appreciate so much when someone likes them!

Finally a moment to comment..:-)

Ok this is seriously white on white and it looks very clean, calm and oool. I study the space and keep expecting something to jump out at me. Very intriguing.

Ghost Chairs - I want to be one of those people who has a very interesting use for them, but it just isn't me.. they are staying in the garden...:-)

Carrie and Abby -Welcome, I am glad you like it.

Vitania- I really like the space and cannot understand where there stuff is!? I mean where is the remote control? But then I notice that they don't have a TV. I love it :-) It is definitely a minimalist home. I am very drawn to it but the husband isn't. I have the chairs, one sits by my dressing table and the others are used mainly outdoors, as per the husband's request.

Dear Charlie,

serene and calm.

I'm going house hunting with my eldest son this weekend, he would love this...being a true minimalist!

Tanks for caring,

Love

I would use those chairs in my living room or dining room. I think they're fabulous. And love this whole house -- I normally need more color than this to be satisfied...but this one has so much light and air, it's just perfect as is!
