SECCO is a design cooperative making home and fashion accessories out of recycled materials. They make bags out of car tire inner tubes, serving trays from discarded washing machine drums, CD racks and bowls from old LP records and the list goes on. The shop is a haven for recyclers and eco-friendly shoppers. Recycling design workshops are available at the SECCO shop in Helsinki and Jyväskylä.
"Creativity and courage are needed to change the way people design and produce today. We at SECCO lead by example. The ultimate goal has got to be the closing of the material cycle, while at the same time providing meaningful and enjoyable results for everybody involved. Working with recycled materials can be a real challenge at times but the results can often be wonderful and surprising."

Hi Paul, It is really wonderful to see how they are repurposing discarded objects. I liked almost everything they make with the old vinyl! I am so pleased you like the CD rack!
