In this village, glass has been manufactured for more than 200 years, longer than anywhere else in Finland. The village is home to a large community of independent glass designers and glassblowers with their own hotshops, studios and galleries. In addition, Iittala Group’s Nuutajärvi Glass Factory is located in this village.

i saw the champs glasses once at a party and i love them so much. i was never able to find out what company makes them. yesterday when i saw them in your blog i was so happy ( i am marrying in agust)!i just called and ordered them! i will send you a picture from the wedding when we use them. i love your blog! i am a architect student and i find it really useful. thank you charlie!

Tareq, I am so happy you like them. I actually bought a few of the bottles and I love them. They are a bit smaller than I expected but they are beautiful nonetheless. The Nuutajarvi Village is quite spectacular. You can actually watch the artists at work. I am a huge fan of Markku Salo, he is up there with Dale Chihuly for me so imagine my delight that I will have a chance to meet him. Check out his site when you get a chance, you wont be disappointed.
