Luxe Cashmere by Arelalizza of Finland

A few weeks ago when I received a gift from a dear friend, it was from Finnish Fashion label arelalizza. I received the stylish sweater above and the comfy robe below I adore both pieces plus the design and the quality is superb. It goes without saying that those two pieces have become absolute favorites. Is it greedy of me to want more so soon? The orange sweater in the third frame is to die for!

However the long grey cardigan is a must have in every woman's wardrobe....hmmm...the luscious throw as well! Yikes what's a girl to do? I will put my gluttony aside for just a moment and finish telling you a bit more about arelalizza.

I was so pleased that I received the images and permission as quickly as I did because now I can share them with you. Below are a few pieces from the arelalizza Fall/Winter 2008-2009 Collection for your viewing pleasure.

Kristiina Salminen-Lizza lives and works in New York. She has designed for Marimekko, Adrienne Vittadini, Perry Ellis, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bendels and currently designs cashmere knitwear for stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Holt Renfrew and other designer clients. Maija Arela lives and works in Tampere, Finland. She specializes in textile and color design, and has designed and coordinated colors for the Finnish textile and fashion industry for many years. She has been a member of the International Intercolor Color Commission for over twenty years and is the president of its Finnish division.
Both designers were born in Tampere and met in New York City in 2003. Their design collaboration for arelalizza collection started in Fall 2006.

Enjoy!

You are so right about the lovely cashmere.
It is divine and nothing else will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Talented women, I shall look in to their site and browse some more.

Love your blog.

Hi Ingela,

Welcome to CDD! Cashmere is so comfortable. You are right about the diversity, it keeps you warm in the winter and comfortable in the summer. What I love about the sweater I received is that it's not the classic style I am use to. Don't get me wrong, I would never give up on the classics but it is fun to have the option of something different.

Lovely simplicity with an infallible Finnish touch. I love casual clothes - just this type of design. Thanks for sharing! Bacione, Ingrid

Hi! :-) I know! I want the throw, grey pants and the cream cardigan twinset...plus the orange sweater in the 3rd frame...I could go on but those are the ones I want and will start my collection with, in that order. I love cashmere and these do not disappoint!

PS HAPPY; HAPPY about your news!
