Samu-Jussi Koski for Marimekko F/W 2008-09

Fashion designer, Samu-Jussi Koski does it again! He rocks the Fall/Winter 2008-09 collection for Marimekko! The Mari girl hasn't looked this groovy in a long time! I am so looking forward to Fall! There are a few pieces in this collection that definitely have my name written all over them. However, before I do any buying I have one question for you all. How old is too old to wear a mini? Is there such a thing as too old anymore?

Enjoy!

the lengths are not too bad on this designs. i think a woman over 50 stay away from the very short skirts, but you are correct our generation is more vibrant, younger healthier we can wear shorter and tighter than the last.

I really like this designer! I am not to cuckoo for some of the colors with the florals but it takes me to the day when my mother used to dress like this. I like the tunics and again the length is good for all us women. Thank you.

Vivian, Thanks for stoppping by! I love the black and white tunic, it is retro without being too out there. Thanks for commenting on the age appropriateness of short skirts. I have heard from many that feel that 30 is the limit but I suppose it all depends on the individual and their lifestyle.

I would have to agree with Vivian. Over 50, stay away. Sometimes minis are just best kept to the younger generations. But the vibrant blue in the first dress just hooked me at first glance :)! i love the purple sweater dress as well! Great post!

Thanks Cate! Haven't seen you in a while. Those first 2 dresses are fab! But those are definitely for the younger set. If you wore it the first time NO-REDO'S :-) Am I too harsh? I have read that..as to the mini's I'll stick to 50's then. The lengths aren't too bad not too short not too long just right! LOL

Franki, where are you?
