“Anne Kyyrö Quinn's growing range of products illustrates a brilliant crossover between the disciplines of handicraft and of industrial design which, when combined with the vision and daring to experiment with the unconventional or unfashionable, has created a blossoming of innovation. With all of her designs there is a Nordic clarity, which makes them easily recognisable. 'Loop', 'Laine', 'Linea' and 'Bold Circles' are just a few designs that have achieved much acclaim with the press both in the UK and internationally.”
Anne Kyyrö Quinn is one of the 20 Finnish designers being showcased during New York Design Week at the HARDCORE, New Finnish Design exhibition, on May 15-17, 2008 in New York City.
Enjoy!

its so amazing what some people can create! the origami wall is so neat!
Cate,
Those walls are really something! I cannot imagine working with that much silk and felt at one time and ending up with something that beautiful. I remember my little girl working away in math class doing her origami and wondering why.. now we all know why we should have been paying
attention in class!

Hi charlie! I added my email address to my site. It's tundrastyle@gmail.com.
Your blog seems really interesting and I'll definitely be coming back to check on your new posts! These felt surfaces are really beautiful. I think I've seen Anne Kyyrö Quinn's work at Design Forum.
PS. I hope this same comment didn't come several times, my computer is doing some weird stuff...
popsu, I am glad you cam by! These felt wall coverings are quite something, the one she is standing in front of is amazing! On her website she has pictures of actual jobs, so that is very cool, because we get to see them in action. Glad you liked these and hope to see you back.
